Job Description

  • Supported research activities, including sample preparation and analysis within the Research and Knowledge Development Division, Research and Standards Development Department. - Conducted a research project on Gemological characterization of red spinel from Myanmar, Vietnam, and Tanzania for the geographic origin determination database. - Conduct research and perform sample analysis using advanced instruments such as LA-ICP-MS, EDXRF, SEM, Laser Raman, FTIR and UV-Vis-NIR. - Maintain and service institutional advanced instruments as assigned. - Supported research projects, including sample preparation, analysis using basic and advanced instrumentation, procurement coordination, and report preparation.
