• Responsibilities:
• Response for the safe and efficient operation of the plant during scheduled shift. The Shift Supervisor shall be fully qualified and trained to perform control room and roving operation functions. The Shift Supervisors will perform their activities as directed by the Operations Manager. All shift operators report to the Shift Supervisor. Reports to the Operations Manager.
• Duties:
• • Responsible for the safe, efficient, and environmentally compliant operation of the plant while on shift.
• • Directs and supervises the “A” , “B” and “C” Operator to insure the same
• • Maintenance of plant files and records of plant operating data.
• • Monitor the functions of the CRT and control room computer, devices and switches that will maintain the necessary steam flow and power load.
• • Maintain contact with utility load dispatchers to adjust and/or advise them of load changes and load shedding.
• • Monitor reading from controls (temperature, pressure, flow, etc.) for long term variances from normal trends.
• • To respond to the variances and to issue instructions to adjust and maintain proper process conditions.
• • Maintain a daily operating logbook.

• • Responsible for the Lock-out and tag-out of equipment when maintenance is performed
• • Direct the Control Room Operator and Roving Operators to achieve the goals of operating the plant during the shift

Job Description

• Responsibilities:
• The Control Room Operator, under the direction of Shift Supervisor, is responsible for the safe operation of the plant to include monitoring, recording and charting plant performance via computerized monitoring systems in the control room. The Control Room Operator is to adjust and maintain steam flow and power generation, as instructed and according to the Operations Manual. Will be able to direct the start-up and shutdown of the entire facility in a controlled fashion as well as react to emergencies without risking the safety of personnel or equipment. The Control Room Operator will direct the work of other plant Operators. Reports to the Shift Supervisor.
• Duties:
• Operate keyboard and console to access computers
• Monitor, record and chart reading from the computerized plant control and monitoring system (temperature, pressure readings, etc.) for variance from prescribed operating standards or procedures.
• Response to variances by adjusting and maintaining process ( usually steam and electricity) parameters according to Operating Instructions Manual and current practices.
• Maintain close contact with B/C Operators to maintain process parameters per system requirements.
• Monitor plant-operating functions in accordance with Operating Manual for items indicating maintenance.
• Operate the plant in a safe and efficient manner.
• Assure that the Control Room is staffed on a constant basis..
• Maintain plant files and record of plant operating data.
• Direct the B/C Operator and assure proper information is observed, maintained and recorded for water, temperature, pressure level throughout the plant per prescribed settings.
• Direct the activities of the B/C Operator to make adjustments and minor maintenance corrections.
• Monitor plant equipment and facilities for safe performance and correct operations.
• Be familiar with, and adhere to, all site EHS regulations
• Report unsafe conditions and hazards to Shift Supervisor.

Job Description

• Responsibilities:
• The Roving Operator, under direction of Control Room Operator or Shift Supervisor, is responsible for the safe operation, monitoring, and recording of plant functions throughout the plant. Report to the Shift Supervisor.
• Duties:
• - Record and maintain data for instrumentation located throughout the plant.
• - Monitor readings on instrumentation for variances from prescribed operating standards and procedures.
• - Respond to variances as instructed by the Control Room Operator or Shift Supervisor by adjusting equipment to maintain proper operating parameters.
• - Monitor plant facilities and equipment for safe performance of equipment and operation.
• - Be familiar with, and adhere to, all site EHS regulations.
• - Report unsafe conditions or hazards.
• - Perform adjustments and minor maintenance corrections on equipment found operating beyond the prescribed setting or an unsafe condition (oil, air, heater, steam, and leaks, piping)
• - Assist maintenance group in testing of equipment.
• - Operate plant equipment (crane, forklift)
• - Perform chemical test for the plant water and steam systems to maintain proper steam quality.
• - Support maintenance activities on a part-time basis as required.
• - Be familiar with, and adhere to, all site EHS regulation.
