Job Description

  • Key Responsibilities
  • A Credit Officer at SME Bank plays a crucial role in supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) by evaluating and managing loan applications. The officer ensures that financing is provided responsibly and in line with the banks credit policies.
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Loan Assessment & Analysis
  • Evaluate loan applications from SME clients by analyzing business plans, financial statements, and creditworthiness.
  • Conduct site visits and interviews with business owners to better understand their operations and financial needs.
  • Credit Risk Evaluation
  • Assess the risks involved in lending to particular clients or industries.
  • Prepare detailed credit proposals and risk reports for approval committees.
  • Loan Processing & Documentation
  • Ensure that all loan documents are complete, accurate, and comply with bank regulations and legal standards.
  • Coordinate with legal and compliance teams to ensure proper collateral and legal arrangements.
  • Client Advisory & Relationship Management
  • Provide financial advice to clients regarding suitable loan products and financial management.
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing clients and support them in the loan lifecycle.
  • Monitoring & Follow-up
  • Track loan repayments and follow up with clients to ensure timely payment.
  • Identify early warning signs of potential default and work on risk mitigation strategies.
  • Compliance & Reporting
  • Ensure all activities comply with internal credit policies, as well as national financial regulations.
  • Prepare and submit periodic reports to management on loan portfolio performance and credit risk exposure.

  • - Analyze total credit of no more than 15 million baht per person or as specified by the bank under good corporate governance principles, regulations, orders and credit analysis principles specified by the bank.
  • - Coordinate with executives or officers of various departments involved in the credit approval process to ensure that the credit analysis and approval are fast and in accordance with the bank's regulations.
  • - Monitor the quality of approved debtors under responsibility to control non-performing loans and perform other tasks as assigned.
