Job Description

  • I chose to intern as a site engineer because I wanted to understand the various issues encountered on-site, as well as the methods of communication with contractors and workers. During my actual internship, the responsibilities assigned to me closely aligned with my expectations. I was tasked with monitoring and controlling the work of contractors and workers to ensure compliance with the plans. If any issues arose on-site, I coordinated with my supervisor and communicated with the contractors of the various projects to resolve them accurately. Additionally, since the building I was overseeing was a seven-story reinforced concrete residential structure, and the owner wanted to add an eighth floor, I had the opportunity to practice quantity takeoff for the construction materials needed for the extension.
