Logistics Supervisor – Office Supplies and Stationery

1 shipment coordination and scheduling plan and oversee the scheduling of incoming and outgoing shipments ensuring timely and accurate deliveries coordinate with carriers suppliers and internal teams to arrange transportation monitor delivery status and resolve any delays ensure shipping and receiving documentation is complete and accurate for all orders 2 inventory and warehouse management work with the warehouse team to ensure products are accurately picked packed and prepared for shipment monitor inventory levels to ensure there is sufficient stock to meet demand while avoiding overstocking conduct regular inventory checks to maintain accurate records of stock levels and address any discrepancies 3 vendor and carrier management establish and maintain relationships with shipping vendors carriers and third party logistics providers negotiate shipping rates and service agreements to optimize logistics costs and ensure reliable transportation monitor carrier performance address issues and work to improve delivery times and reduce freight costs 4 cost control and optimization analyze logistics costs identify cost saving opportunities and implement strategies to reduce expenses develop and implement efficient routing plans and load optimization practices to reduce shipping costs track and report on cost metrics such as freight expenses and delivery efficiency to management 5 compliance and documentation ensure compliance with all applicable transportation and safety regulations including international shipping requirements if applicable maintain accurate records and documentation for shipments customs and any regulatory filings develop and update sops related to logistics and transportation ensuring compliance across teams 6 problem solving and issue resolution address any issues related to delayed shipments damaged goods or inventory discrepancies quickly and effectively coordinate with the customer service team to resolve customer complaints related to delivery and logistics conduct root cause analysis on recurring issues and implement corrective actions to improve operations 7 performance tracking and reporting monitor logistics kpis such as delivery accuracy on time delivery rate shipping costs and inventory turnover prepare regular reports on logistics performance identifying trends challenges and areas for improvement use data to make informed decisions on process improvements and logistics optimization 8 team supervision and training supervise and support the logistics team providing training on best practices and new procedures set performance goals for team members conduct regular evaluations and provide feedback to promote growth and development ensure team compliance with safety protocols and company policies
