Senior System Engineer [Gaming]

• Manage and optimize cloud-based infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) for game servers and databases.
• Implement and maintain cloud security best practices.
• Monitor cloud resource usage and costs to ensure efficiency.
• Maintain and update game servers, including weekly maintenance patches.
• Deploy and configure operating systems (e.g., Windows Server, Linux) on both physical and virtual servers.
• Troubleshoot server-related issues and optimize performance.
• Execute SQL queries for data extraction to support game updates.
• Manage and optimize database performance (e.g., indexing, query optimization).
• Ensure database security and integrity.
• Configure and maintain network devices (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls).
• Troubleshoot network connectivity issues.
• Implement network security measures (e.g., intrusion detection, VPN, Zerotrust).
• Monitor server and network performance to ensure system stability.
• Use monitoring tools to identify and resolve potential issues proactively.
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to operating systems, servers, networks, security, and game systems.
• Implement preventive measures to avoid recurring problems.
• Communicate effectively with international teams (in English).
• Collaborate with game developers to understand and support game requirements.
• Provide IT support within the company and explore innovative IT solutions to enhance business operations.

คุณสมบัติ

คุณสมบัติด้านความรู้และความสามารถ

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, networking, and system administration, with a focus on cloud environments and private cloud environments e.g. OpenStack, Proxmox, .VMWare etc.
• Strong understanding of server administration, database management (SQL), and networking protocols.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation.
• Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Passion for gaming.
• Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of game server development and optimization.
• Certification in cloud technologies (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Certified Solutions Architect).
