Plant Manager

• To set up and implement plant policies and procedures that meet the overall objectives of the business with regard to manufacturing productivity and efficiency, production cost, quality expectations and on- time delivery of product and services to the customer. To ensure the Company is at the forefront of manufacturing technology and support processes through engagement with suppliers, customers, external contractors, Universities and Government instrumentalities. To provide the required support to Human Resources with regard to employee welfare and safety as well as delivering on a major key manufacturing objective to improve the skill levels of all employees through training and engagement. Responsibilities Coordinate those activities that support the quality management process and through continuous improvement initiatives and training ensure the organization meets the agreed quality specifications and the changing needs of the customer. Recommend capital investment in new plant and equipment including ancillary services that will provide a commercial advantage over competitors in terms of cost, quality and lead-time. Implement cost reduction programs through manufacturing efficiency, automation, process control and cost of quality initiatives. Manage engineering services, design and manufacture, to ensure there is a cost effective planning process in place as well as the required investment that delivers product innovation, new manufacturing technology and which provides a point of difference to customers. Review maintenance procedures, timelines and management controls through Industry and Supplier recommendations for plant and equipment, land and buildings and ancillary services. Monitor financial operating results and production reports to highlight areas for continuous improvement and process control management with the objective to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Establish an efficient planning and supply chain management system that is transparent to the business with the focus on cost, inventory hold, manufacturing efficiency and supply of product and services to the customer. In conjunction with Human Resources recommend and implement cost reduction programs through manning levels that parallel trends in sales and product requirements including provision for agreed inventory needs. Provide leadership in Industry Best Practice and associated programs including GMP, ISO accreditation, Lean/Six sigma and Quality Cost Reporting. Qualifications Bachelor Degree or above in Industrial Engineering, Industrial Automation or related major. Above ten years in a high volume manufacturing organization and at least 5 years plant manager working experience. Management experiences in areas of assembly machine design and making are preferable. Manufacturing process knowledge, related assembly, and injection molded plastics industry preferred; Strong management/ supervisory and people skills; Sound track record of achievements and good leadership skills and understanding; Lean manufacturing concepts, Kaizen, Kan Ban and value stream mapping; Performance management and Problem solving techniques; Good English, Chinese and Thai languages communication skills.
