• Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and experienced Linux Administrator with a focus on AWS cloud management to join our IT team. The role will involve 70% Linux system administration and 30% AWS cloud management. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in Linux administration and cloud platforms, with the ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities  Linux System Administration (70%): - Manage and maintain Linux servers, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. - Perform system monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning. - Implement and manage system security, including user permissions, firewalls, and patch management. - Develop and maintain system scripts for automation and efficiency. - Backup and restore operations to ensure data integrity and availability. - Monitor and maintain system logs for security and performance analysis. - Provide technical support and troubleshoot issues related to Linux systems.  AWS Cloud Management (30%): - Manage and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalability, security, and performance. - Implement and manage AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, and IAM. - Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation. - Monitor AWS resources and optimize for cost, performance, and reliability. - Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices in AWS environments. - Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to support cloud based applications and services. Qualifications Education: - Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Experience: - Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Linux system administration. - Proven experience with AWS cloud platform and services. Technical Skills: - Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems (e.g., RedHat, CentOS, Ubuntu). - Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Perl.  - Experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, and IAM. - Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation. - Understanding of network and security principles in both Linux and cloud environments. - Experience with monitoring tools and performance tuning. Certifications: - Relevant certifications (e.g., Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA), AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are highly desirable. Soft Skills: - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. - Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. - Strong analytical skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications  - Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible or Puppet. - Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes. - Understanding of DevOps principles and practices.
