• Job brief We are looking for an experienced Electrician/ Testing Engineer to undertake a variety of tasks relating to setting up, operating and maintaining test gear. Job will involve installing electrical wiring to modules, executing test as per the procedure and troubleshoot issues that one may encounter during testing. The successful test electrician must be responsible individuals with great attention to safety precautions. The ideal candidate must also be experienced in different kinds of electrical devices and systems; pumps, motors, actuated valves, control valves, process transmitters, process control system and hydraulic control system Responsibilities • Inspect and sign off pre-testing electrical check list to ensure wiring was carried out as per project drawings (i.e. wiring diagrams, P2P) • Inspect the test gear whether it is in safe working condition (i.e. inspect and test the functionality of circuit breakers and switches prior to deploying test gear) • Set up test gear and hook it up to the module that is going to be tested • Connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks ensuring compatibility of components (e.g. cable sizing vs amperage) • Prevent breakdown of systems by routinely inspecting and replacing old wiring and insulated cables, cleaning circuits etc. • Perform effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions and repair, or substitute damaged units
