• General Mission: To ensure that customers have a positive experience at the Cafe by exhibiting excellent customer service. Their duties include greeting customers and taking their orders, communicating with members of the kitchen about orders and carrying meals or beverages to the correct tables. Responsibility: ● Welcomes customers when they arrive at the cafe. ● Maintains familiarity with menu items, specials. ● Introduces customers to the menu and announces daily or special menu. ● Answers questions about menu items, ingredients. ● Takes customers' orders for food and drink by writing them on a ticket. ● Passes customer orders along to kitchen staff for preparation. ● Prepares drinks and serves them to customers. ● Collects food orders from the kitchen, verifies that they are correct, and serves them to customers. ● Ensures that customers are satisfied with their meals and processes orders for additional courses (upsell) ● Removes used dishes, glasses, and flatware from tables ● Prepares cheques and delivers them to customers ● Processes cash and credit card payments and returns change to customers if necessary Qualifications: ● High school diploma. ● Attention to details. ● Ability to multitask. ● Good command in English, both verbal and written to meet business needs ● Customer service skills ● Ability to work under pressure. ● Positive Attitude.
