• Overview PetroRes Consulting is an innovative geoscience, engineering, and software company contracting with clients across the globe. PetroRes is offering the opportunity to gain tangible skills while working on state-of-the-art data sets. This position is entry level and will have a steep learning curve. Relocation to Bangkok will be necessary with the option for remote work in the future. This position has large growth opportunities as the company moves forward. Key Responsibilities Conduct standard conventional and unconventional petrophysical analysis Perform integrated studies and applied research using different types of data sets (i.e., petrophysical, geological, geophysical, fiber optics, reservoir, completions, etc.) Evaluate new innovative workflows and methods to perform petrophysics Participate in and/or engage in software development for petrophysical applications Build, maintain and leverage petrophysical databases to perform data analytics Evaluate and oversee core and fluid data acquisition programs Engage in professional societies and contribute by creating technical publications and presentations Minimum Requirements BSc in petroleum eng., geology, geophysics, EE, or physics (MSc or PhD is desired) Excellent written and verbal communication in English A good ‘service company’ attitude, ability to engage with and keep clients happy Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, adapt, develop, and grow as a technical professional—should be able to learn geoscience, engineering, and software skills Experience programming or writing/developing software is strongly desired SQL database experience a plus Working Environment This job will be in the Sukhumvit area of Bangkok. As time progresses an opportunity may arise for remote work. The position will initially be offered as a contract position to evaluate the candidate. After this contract has expired, there will be the option for full time employment. Some international travel may be necessary in the future.
