• Application Developer / Programmer Overview PetroRes Consulting is an innovative geoscience, engineering, and software company contracting with clients across the globe. PetroRes is offering the opportunity to gain tangible skills while working on state-of-the-art data sets. This position is entry level and will have a steep learning curve. Relocation to Bangkok will be necessary with the option for remote work in the future. This position has large growth opportunities as the company moves forward. Key Responsibilities • Develop desktop WinForms C#/CLR, Python, and web applications geared toward geoscience and subsurface data analysis • Build and contribute to data analytics projects using various development platforms and the latest Machine Learning and AI libraries • Contribute by creating technical publications and presentations Required Experience • Proficiency with object-oriented programming (CLR-C#/C++) • Development of WinForms desktop applications/GUI with .NET Framework and Visual Studio • Scripting programming languages including Python (PyQT/TKInter experience a plus) • Graphics programming experience or ability to do so • SQL database experience • Mathematics background including linear algebra, data structures, and recent ML/AI Minimum Requirements • BSc in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or Physics • Excellent written and verbal communication in English • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, adapt, develop, and grow as a technical professional Working Environment This job will be in the Sukhumvit area of Bangkok. As time progresses an opportunity may arise for remote work. The position will initially be offered as a contract position to evaluate the candidate. After this contract has expired, there will be the option for full time employment. Some international travel may be necessary in the future.
