The Utilization Review Nurse– TPA

หน้าที่และความรับผิดชอบ

• The Utilization Review Nurse is responsible for utilization management and utilization review for prospective, concurrent, or retrospective review. The UR Nurse will performs reviews of current inpatient services, and determine medical appropriateness of inpatient and outpatient services following evaluation of medical guidelines and benefit determination. Proactive to action problem case with UR Nurse. They will conduct prospective, concurrent and retrospective utilization review for inpatient services, observations, as well as specific outpatient service requests. Essential Job Functions: • The primary responsibility of the utilization review nurse is to review medical records and prepare clinical appeals (when appropriate) on medical necessity, level of care, length of stay, and authorization denials for hospitalized patients. • An understanding of the severity of an array illnesses, intensity of service, and care coordination needs are key, as the nurse must integrate clinical knowledge with billing knowledge to review, evaluate, and appeal clinical denials related to the care provided to the hospitalized patient. • Supporting claim assessor when necessary about medical necessity of insured • Perform other duties and special assignments as required • Responsible for monitored an insured’s care while the insured is hospitalized to facilitate appropriates timely treatment for a suspicious case. • Review requests for services or treatment that do not meet clinical guideline or criteria and discuss with UR Nurse, attending physician and medical directors on a daily basis. • Hospital Audit and analyze patient records to ensure quality patient care and appropriateness of services (follow the red zone record) • Knowledgeable about member benefits and assists member to maximize their individual benefit plan. • Reviews cases for quality of care concerns. • Works closely with claim assessor to informed about medical necessity of insured • Maintains strong working relationship with internal and external customers and communicates professionally.

คุณสมบัติด้านความรู้และความสามารถ

• Qualifications: • Thai Nationality Only • Bachelor degree in Nursing Science in the relevant jurisdiction as a registered nurse is required. • 3 year or more years' adult or pediatric clinical experience in a hospital setting, including at least one year as a utilization review nurse. • Excellent written and oral communication skills are a must, as is the ability to work and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. • Strong computer and customer service skills are required as well. • Excellent of English: TOEIC 550++ is more advantage.
