Geotechnical Engineer (In Laos)

หน้าที่และความรับผิดชอบ

• The Geotechnical Engineer will report to the Geotechnical Superintendent and will be responsible to provide geological support to mining, metallurgy and logistics. Principal Accountabilities • Effective operation of PBM Health and Safety System in work environment ; • Creation of Geotechnical maps from field observations and field data collection; • Undertakes geotechnical site investigations, identifies and advises on associated risks; • Slope stability monitoring, modelling and risk identification and reporting; • Groundwater monitoring and reporting; • Training and Development of Geological technicians; • Provides geotechnical support and risk assessments to the Mining, Metallurgy and Logistics Departments; • Minimises ore loss and dilution through improved understanding of geotechnical constraints and risks for the mining operation; • Develops an understanding of the Geology database; and • Builds working relationship with key Mining Department personnel General Duties • Perform such duties and exercise such power as may be assigned to you by the Geotechnical Superintendent and/or Mining Operations Manager; • In the discharge of such duties and the exercise of such powers to conform to, observe and comply with all resolutions, regulations and directions as shall from time to time be made or given by the Geotechnical Superintendent and/or Mining Operations Manager; • Unless due to normal provisions for leave or prevented by accident, devote the whole of your time, attention and ability during normal business hours to the discharge of your duties hereunder; and • Conform to such hours of work as may from time to time reasonably be required of you and not be entitled to receive any remuneration for work performed for the Company outside normal business hours.

• • Bachelor’s Degree In Engineer or any related fields • At least 1-2 years experience in an open pit • Geotechnical mapping and interpretation • Slope stability monitoring and slope modeling • Geotechnical engineering site investigations • Supervision of piezometer hole installations and ground water monitoring • Pit wall dewatering • Supervision of diamond drilling and geotechnical logging of core • Rock mass quality characterization • Geotechnical risk assessments, hazard alerts and reporting • Ore loss and dilution control through geotechnical assessments • Training and development of Lao personnel within Geology
