Production Manager (PM) 1 position The PM has complete control of the production floor, including finishing and packing. This role is to provide leadership and guidance to all staff under their control, whilst ensuring that the company rules and regulations and health and safety standards are strictly adhered to. The main emphasis is to develop all production lines to a high standard of quality and efficiency and to fulfil our customers’ requirements at all times.

To set up the lines with and staff to achieve the correct machine and operator layout to minimise delays on style change.
To set targets for each line with a minimum of 80% efficiency based on the standard minutes (chrono-minutes), following up on a daily basis to ensure that the targets and quality standards agreed are met.
To make sure that the targets are visual and understood by supervisors and operators and the pay levels for those targets are displayed.
To give guidance and instructions to line leaders and supervisory staff.
To make training recommendations for all staff under your control and consult with HR; and where necessary, discipline your staff in accordance with company procedure
To liaise with Merchandising, Raw materials and Cutting to insure that the production and cut plan can be achieved.
To work in close coordination with all departments in the company on the development and introduction of new styles.
To set up preproduction meetings prior to the introduction of all new styles. Particular emphasis must be placed on methods, machinery and work aids required.
To work in close conjunction with the GM, FM and HR to develop additional production lines; time frame to be confirmed.
