Engineering Design Manager - Automotive

หน้าที่และความรับผิดชอบ

• Direct or delegate the direction for the preparation of complete design layouts, production drawings, sketches and diagrams. Direct the preparation of design concepts to meet product specifications. Direct the activities of engineering change control on production drawings. Know and apply current Engineering practices in light of Manufacturing and Quality Control considerations. Make efficient use of and help develop relevant standards. Supervise the development and maintenance of Gantt charts for projects. Participate in the defense of product liability lawsuits when required. Make and/or direct the calculations involving engineering sciences (static, dynamics) and other associated subject. Direct liaison between vendors and purchasing department when required. Supports the activities of the Manufacturing Engineering Manager and the Quality Assurance Manager. Keep abreast of competitive product lines and market developments. Perform the administrative functions of budgeting, spending control, salary/performance reviews, capital planning and participate in the tooling program requirements. Develop policies and procedures as required. Cooperate with E-Commerce Initiatives. Perform other duties as responsibilities necessitate. Submit cost reduction/avoidances.
