• The Software Architect is reporting to the IT Manager of GLF and the responsibilities are the following:  Software architecture design: o Lead the efforts around Enterprise Architecture (Application Architecture, Business Architecture, Information Architecture and Technical Architecture). o Develops the applications architecture and blueprints which reflect business logic of the section or division. o Defines application components, platforms, interfaces, and development tools. o Serve as lead Technical Architect for critical projects. o Develop and communicate enterprise technology standards and policies. o Review new and existing program/project architecture for compliance with IT standards, policies and architectural plans. o Ensure that architectural governance is a fair, consistent and transparent process. o Identify architectural risks and propose alternatives and solutions. o Participates in the evaluation and implementation of vendor application software and tools. o Provides architecture guidance to cross-functional, cross-platform application development teams. o Participates in mapping the technology-independent applications architecture to the chosen technology platform. o Conducts reviews and analyses organizational needs to make recommendations regarding the development and implementation of applications. Stays abreast of the latest technology infrastructure and processes in the industry and marketplace. o Makes recommendations to use innovative, creative approaches as appropriate to meet client needs.  Technical environment: o Creation of software builds including build documentation and preparation for software releases. o Define and execute business applications deployment methodology (automation) and schedule. o Design and execute system integration tests and implement their automation. o Monitoring Database, OS and web server performance and Tuning. o Architecting and configuring database, OS and web server layers for performance and security. o Technical environment (production, pre-production, testing and development) management. o Ensuring that storage and archiving procedures are functioning correctly (perform recovery testing). o Performing Health-check exercise: like Anti-virus, patching & other server Compliance procedure enforcement & adherence.  Support: o Work with business and IT leadership to prioritize support and tactical issues to address immediate business needs while maintaining strategic direction. o Ensure service levels are understood and supports them being met.  Technology watch: o Display a strong ambition in gaining skills and knowledge that benefit GLF and its employees. Strong awareness of industry trends and best practices. o Act as a change agent, initiating appropriate changes to support business growth, reduce operational costs, and/or improve service levels.  People management: o Plan staffing needs and allocations to support projects, initiatives, and support. o Provide clear communication to immediate team, business partners, peers and executive leadership. o Provide leadership and guidance to coach, motivate, and lead team members to their optimum performance levels and career development. o Measure and track the team’s performance, including metrics such as velocity, number of defects, ability to estimate tasks, and ability to commit to deadlines. o Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, informal coaching and mentoring, performance evaluations, and set goals for team members on technical side.  Documentation: o Develop, manage and review technical design according the needed business requirements. o Accountable for technical application documentation completeness and maintenance. o Provide regular team activity and business application development and maintenance dashboards to upper management.

คุณสมบัติด้านความรู้และความสามารถ

•  Master's degree in information systems or engineering with 3-5 years of Information Systems project management or business operations experience.  Fluent in English both spoken and written is mandatory. Fluency in Khmer a plus.  Technical Expertise with a broad range of Web based technologies, tools and standards across desktop, tablet and handset platforms.  Excellent knowledge of professional software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, and code instrumentation。  Experience building highly scalable systems in a fast paced, team-oriented environment  Demonstrated ability to mentor technical management and technical professionals.  Ability to organize several teams and focus on best practices, particularly regarding coding standards and quality assurance.  Experience working with and effectively managing vendors on large and small projects.  Experience working in a virtual team environment; ability to form a team within a virtual work environment.  Experience working with on/off-shore teams to produce quality and timely results.  A proven track record of delivering initiatives from conception through completion on time, within budget and on or beyond scope.  Ability to communicate effectively across a variety of different levels of management and individual contributors.  Knowledge of Business Intelligence concepts (such as ETL, data warehousing and front end reporting tools).  Good knowledge in database (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server and in-Memory ones such as MangoDB and Cassandra) and backup administration as well column based database technology.  Extensive experience in scripting languages (Perl, Unix-Shell, Python).  Extensive experience in software development (Java, PHP, Scala and .Net) and software integration.  Good knowledge in web server (Tomcat, WildFly and Windows Servers) administration.  Good knowledge of OS (Linux and Windows) administration.  Good knowledge on software integration practices and technology.  Experience working in an Agile environment with rapid prototyping and iterative development.  Good working knowledge of Git repositories administration including branching, merging and conflict resolution.  Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive.  Passionate and knowledgeable about new and emerging mobile and internet-based media and its technology.
