Marine and Coastal Engineer

หน้าที่และความรับผิดชอบ

• Design of marine jetties, vessel berths, breakwaters, quay walls, and other marine structures.
• Develop and design coastal structures including sea walls, earth bunds, revetments, and hybrid structures integrating natural and nature-based solutions.
• Develop dredging/reclamation plans
• Ensure designs comply with safety regulations, environmental standards, and industry best practices.
• Manage marine engineering projects from conception through completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget constraints.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
• Provide technical expertise in the areas of coastal engineering and structural analysis.
• Stay abreast of advancements in marine engineering technology and practices.
• Research to innovate and improve marine engineering techniques and solutions.
• Evaluate and select new technologies and materials for marine applications.
• Ensure all engineering activities comply with international maritime regulations and safety standards.
• Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility within the team.
• Preparing reports, calculation notes and deliverables, as required by the projects
• Coordinating and checking the drawings prepared by the CAD team.
• Managing the project or assisting the Project Manager in managing the project, including participation to progress meetings with the client, quality control of deliverables, control of the project budget and coordination of subcontractors.
• Produce Civil/Coastal engineering designs for shoreline protection and restoration projects, stormwater mitigation, groins, jetties, breakwaters, and other waterfront improvements.
• • Perform site reviews, and construction site visits, and coordinate all aspects of Construction Administration.

คุณสมบัติ

คุณสมบัติด้านความรู้และความสามารถ

• Bachelor’s degree in marine engineering / civil engineering, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred.
• A professional Engineer license or equivalent certification is beneficial.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in marine engineering, civil engineering and structural design, preferably in marine or coastal projects
• Experience using data analysis software preferred (e.g., Excel, Matlab, Python).
• Experience in geospatial software preferred (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and ArcMap GIS).
• Experience or interest in modeling littoral processes, wave transformation, and harbor hydrodynamics preferred (GENESIS, SBEACH, XBeach, CMS, Delft3D, MIKE, ADCIRC, and SWAN).
• Demonstrate a high level of understanding of the principles and practices of coastal engineering, coastal hydrodynamics, and wave theory.
• Demonstrate ability to complete engineering calculations, analyses, and/or modeling for coastal flood hazards, water quality and/or sediment transport, surf zone dynamics, and statistical evaluations.
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong analytical, and problem-solving abilities, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently proficient in presentation skills, Good spoken and written English is a must.
