Precious Metals Refinery Manager

• Lead and supervise daily refinery operations, including melting, refining, recovery, and precious metals processing activities.
• Ensure production targets, quality standards, and operational objectives are achieved efficiently and safely.
• Monitor and optimize refining processes to maximize metal recovery rates and minimize losses
• Manage refinery personnel, including task allocation, performance management, training, and team development.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with Quality Control, Laboratory, Production, and Supply Chain teams to support smooth operations.
• Monitor and maintain refinery equipment, furnaces, and related systems to ensure optimal performance
• Investigate operational issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions
• Prepare and present production reports, recovery analyses, loss reports, and operational performance metrics.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, safety, and cost efficiency.
• Maintain accurate records of metal inventories, production yields, and process documentation
• Support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards
• Experience in a precious metals refinery, bullion production facility, or recycling operation.
• Knowledge of Fire Assay, ICP-OES, ICP-MS, XRF, or other precious metals analytical techniques.
• Familiarity with Precious Metals Accounting and Metal Balance systems.
• Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement programs.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 management systems.
• Good command of spoken and written English.

• Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in precious metals refining, metal melting, metal recovery, engraving, or related metallurgical processes.
• At least 2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience in a manufacturing or refinery environment
• Strong knowledge of gold, silver, and precious metals refining processes.
• Understanding of metal recovery, process control, yield management, and loss prevention.
• Experience working with furnaces, refining equipment, and industrial processing systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and team management abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP or manufacturing management systems.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
