• Web Developer We are looking for a Web Developer to join our Group Marketing team and be responsible for designing and developing the eCommerce functions of our websites in Singapore and Thailand. The role is based in Thailand and the ideal applicant should be an experienced, creative and passionate web developer who wants to make a significant contribution to our business performance. Below, are the key tasks that Jobholder is to be responsible for and the knowledge, working experience and competencies required. Responsibilities: • Carry out requirement gathering, design, implementation, integration, testing, verification, user acceptance and maintenance of the ecommerce functions on our websites. • Write well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices. • Create site layout/user interface by using standard HTML/CSS practices. • Integrate data from various back-end services and databases • Create and maintain software documentation • Troubleshooting issues as and when they arise • Stay plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into operations and activities • Cooperate with designers, webmasters and agencies to match visual design intent • Work collaboratively with marketing, IT, underwriting and agencies as required • Technical mentor to the webmasters in Singapore and Thailand Qualifications: • Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or any Engineering discipline • At least 3 years of working experience in web development in an ecommerce environment • Fluent in English and Thai • Excellent understanding of user interface design, device and cross-browser compatibility, general web functions and standards • Deep expertise and hands on experience with web applications and programming languages such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (AngularJS), Node.JS, JQuery, JSON and Bootstrap. • Hands on design knowledge of web services (REST, SOAP etc.) is needed to be successful in this position • Extensive experience with Google Analytics and working with marketing tags / tag management solutions • Strong grasp of security principles, session management and privacy issues and how they apply to ecommerce applications • Excellent coding standards, organizational programming skills and good commenting practices • Having worked in an agile environment would be advantageous At DirectAsia.com Thailand, we offer an attractive remuneration package, benefits, professional training and career opportunities to the successful candidate.
