Job description: IT technical support officers monitor and maintain the computer systems and networks of an organization. They may install and configure computer systems, diagnose hardware and software faults and solve technical and applications problems, either over the phone or in person. IT technical support officers are mainly responsible for the smooth running of computer systems and ensuring users get maximum benefits from them. The responsibilities include: • Installing and configuring computer hardware operating systems and applications; • Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks • Troubleshooting system and network problems and diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults • Providing support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports • Following diagrams and written instructions to repair a fault or set up a system; • Supporting the roll-out of new applications • Setting up new users\' accounts and profiles • Working continuously on a task until completion • Prioritising and managing many open cases at one time • Testing and evaluating new technology; • Conducting electrical plan & safety checks on computer equipment. • Maintaining records of software licences

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or a related field • Strong troubleshooting skill in hardware and software. • Ability to work individually and as a team • Familiar with Microsoft Windows OS, desktop and notebook devices • Excellence knowledge in LAN technologies • Able to work under time pressure, attentive to details and proper documentation. • Fluent in spoken and written English is preferred.
