Position Overview: As the General and Preventive Maintenance Team Lead for our Chinese restaurant group, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team consisting of one supervisor and six maintenance technicians. Your primary focus will be on overseeing the maintenance operations of our establishments and ensuring the efficient functioning of all physical assets, including equipment, facilities, and infrastructure. Through effective leadership, you will support the smooth operations of the restaurants, provide a safe and well-maintained environment for our customers and staff, and foster a culture of excellence within the maintenance team. Responsibilities: 1.) Team Leadership: - Lead, supervise, and mentor the maintenance team, including one supervisor and six maintenance technicians. - Set performance expectations and goals for team members, conducting regular performance evaluations and providing constructive feedback. - Identify training needs and develop training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the maintenance team. 2.) Maintenance Management: - Develop and implement maintenance strategies, schedules, and preventive maintenance programs for all physical assets, including kitchen equipment, HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and structural components. - Coordinate and oversee repair and maintenance activities to address equipment breakdowns and facility issues promptly. - Conduct regular inspections to assess the condition of equipment, facilities, and structures, identifying potential problems and addressing them proactively. 3.) Vendor Management: - Collaborate with external vendors and suppliers to source parts, equipment, and services needed for maintenance and repair work. - Evaluate vendor performance, negotiate service contracts, and ensure compliance with agreed-upon service levels and standards. - Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of maintenance services and materials. 4.) Health and Safety Compliance: - Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and codes, conducting regular safety inspections and addressing any potential hazards or risks. - Implement safety protocols and procedures for the maintenance team, promoting a safe working environment and adherence to safety guidelines. 5.) Budget Management: - Assist in developing and managing the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources and adherence to financial guidelines. - Monitor maintenance-related expenses and identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality and safety. 6.) Collaboration: - Collaborate with other departments, such as operations, culinary, and procurement, to coordinate maintenance activities and minimize disruptions to restaurant operations. - Communicate maintenance-related updates and plans to management and stakeholders.
