Senior Electrical Engineer for the position of Technical Manager be stationed at Vientiane, Lao P.D.R and occasionally working at Bangkok, Thailand. Overall Responsibilities Responsible for the factory in Vientiane, Lao P.D.R, for assuring the high quality and standard of in-house tool production, maintenance of all utilities, high voltage electrical maintenance, laser system, industrial automation and yearly electrical inspection. Prepare reports for auditors, overseeing inventory parts & supplies and overseas and local purchasing.
Specific Duties .... Plan and supervise the production and modification of tools and equipment according to the production plan and schedules.
• Plan preventive maintenance programs covering all tools, equipment, machinery and utilities the factory.
• Responsible for the implementation of the approved maintenance programs
• Troubleshoot and repair laser systems, high voltage circuits, and precision equipment.
• Monitor, test, and maintain power distribution, transformers, switchgear, and control panels.
• Plan and execute small construction and installation projects in relation to the factory expansion, re-organization, or maintenance of the facilities within the factory premises and dormitories.
• Schedule and allocate tasks to Supervisors, Foreman and Technicians; supervise their performance and provide advice or trainings to improve their efficiency and develop their skills.
• Design new tools, parts, supplies at the request of the production department and arrange to produce parts at the factory workshops or outside workshops.
• Plan the needed parts, supplies to import mainly from Thailand in cooperation with the Assistant Purchasing Manager.
• Acquire technical and basic production knowledge by training by the Group Technical Manager, General Manager/Factory Manager and self-study.
• Provide emergency support during the factory operation on night shift or weekend.
• Design new electrical and/or automation of tools and machinery and fabricate and test in the production as necessary for production/quality improvement.
• Working knowledge on operation of PLC, SCADA, sensors, and other automation technologies is an added advantage.
