Compliance and Documentation • Ensure compliance with all applicable transportation and safety regulations, including international shipping requirements if applicable. • Maintain accurate records and documentation for shipments, customs, and any regulatory filings. • Develop and update SOPs related to logistics and transportation, ensuring compliance across teams.
6. Problem Solving and Issue Resolution • Address any issues related to delayed shipments, damaged goods, or inventory discrepancies quickly and effectively. • Coordinate with the customer service team to resolve customer complaints related to delivery and logistics. • Conduct root cause analysis on recurring issues and implement corrective actions to improve operations.
7. Performance Tracking and Reporting • Monitor logistics KPIs, such as delivery accuracy, on-time delivery rate, shipping costs, and inventory turnover. • Prepare regular reports on logistics performance, identifying trends, challenges, and areas for improvement. • Use data to make informed decisions on process improvements and logistics optimization.
8. Team Supervision and Training • Supervise and support the logistics team, providing training on best practices and new procedures. • Set performance goals for team members, conduct regular evaluations, and provide feedback to promote growth and development. • Ensure team compliance with safety protocols and company policies.
